ABOUT THE EAGLES
EMPOWERING AT-RISK YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS DEVELOPMENT
The North Lawndale Eagles is a non-profit community based organization formed to provide urban youth with positive alternatives to the streets. The MISSION is to "EMPOWER AT RISK YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS DEVELOPMENT. That simply means that we provide options for the youth of Chicago to avoid the pitfalls that are waiting in these streets. We DEVELOP these young men through SPORTS to be able to interact in different settings and use their skills to make them successful in other environments.

Charles Rice affectionately known as "Coach Charles" has been involved in this program for over 25 years. He teaches his players to give back to the community and this teaching is evident in the amount of players who always come back to the program to help in some way.
